Terry Hicks

Former Intuit Exec Joins the Infusionsoft Team

Terry Hicks, former Vice President and General Manager for Intuit’s QuickBooks Online service, has signed on with the Infusionsoft team.

In a press release published by Infusionsoft, it was revealed that Hicks will take the role of Chief Product Officer at Infusionsoft. This is reportedly the first time someone has been designated in this role at the company. In his new position, Hicks will assist Infusionsoft in managing products, processing payments, developing business strategies, achieving the company’s “global” product goals, and overseeing the Infusionsoft Marketplace, which currently offers a wide variety of services to clients, including APIs and apps.

Hicks is no newcomer to the tech industry. With nearly 15 years of experience working at QuickBooks maker Intuit, he’s developed a keen knowledge and understanding of the technological needs of small business owners. While working at Intuit, he served as general manager for the company’s Small Business Group and Global Business Division. Hicks was also responsible for building Intuit’s $600 million online payments system, which is currently one of the company’s most successful vendor services.

Hicks revealed that he is “excited to be a part” of Infusionsoft and looks forward to helping small businesses around the world succeed.

Infusionsoft has a superpower,” said Hicks in the press release announcing his new position as Chief Product Officer at Infusionsoft. “The company’s passion and commitment to small business success is unparalleled and infectious. They understand the challenges small businesses face in today’s digital, connected world, and they’re bringing powerful technology to a market ripe with opportunity. I am excited to be a part of a company that is committed to improving the success rate of small businesses worldwide.

So, what’s next for Infusionsoft now that it has an experienced leader as the Chief Product Officer? Being that Hicks just recently took this role, we still don’t know how exactly this will affect Infusionsoft. However, we’ve already seen some major changes taking place, one of which is an official partnership between Infusionsoft and QuickTap. The two companies announced their partnership earlier this month, saying the partnership is aimed to help small businesses increase sales through marketing initiatives.

In case this is your first time hearing about QuickTap, let me explain the service: basically, Quicktap allows business owners to capture and share contact details on their smartphone, tablet or any other mobile device. It’s meant to replace the traditional business card, allowing business owners to store names, phone numbers, email addresses and other contact information on their device with the click of a button.

Being that Hicks is Infusionsoft’s first Chief Product Officer, it’s safe to assume that we’ll see even more products being launched and released by the company in the years to come. Infusionsoft has yet to provide any details on its upcoming products, but you can check back with our blog here WeDoInfusionsoft for all the latest news!
