How To Install A Pocket Developer Plug-in

CHALLENGE:

You have purchased (or are about to purchase) a Pocket Developer Building Block. You are not sure how to configure and install on your server.

SOLUTION:

This tutorial and accompanying video give you the step-by-step to purchase, configure and install a Pocket Developer Building Block in under five minutes.

THE STEP-BY-STEP

1. Purchase the building block or blocks you need in our Store (https://theapiguys.com/store/)

2. Look for the block you purchased in the Unfinished Business column on the left.

3. Each will have a link in the blue bar that says Configure and Install

4. You’ll be brought to our Configure and Install page. This page explains in detail what you’ll have to have handy in order to complete your installation. Please read through it carefully. In summary, you will need:

  • Infusionsoft application name – you’re looking for the combination of numbers and letters BEFORE the .infusionsoft.com found in your browser url when you’re logged into Infusionsoft

  • Your FTP credentials
    • server IP or domain name
    • your port number if it’s different than the default port 21
    • your FTP username and password
  • Your Infusionsoft API key – in Infusionsoft go to Admin/Settings/Application, scroll down to the API section, if prompted set up an API passphrase, grab your key
  • Possible additional service credentials that may be needed for your particular block, i. e., TelAPI, Twilio, Zapier, or WordPress . You will be prompted for these optional pieces under the Configure and Install button.

5. After you’ve read through the instructions and gathered all your credentials, it’s Go time. Click the big green “Configure and Install” button!

6. Follow the prompts & fill in your FTP credentials

7. Click Next, follow the prompts again. You’ve got everything handy, so this is a snap!

8. Click Next again. Bada bing, bada boom! You’re done! Don’t forget to download the quick start PDF for your building block. And remember, Pocket Developer is handier than a pocket on your shirt!
